Lauren McPhillips, Ph.D.

Lauren is an Assistant Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Penn State University. She studies hydrology and biogeochemistry in the built environment. She thinks a lot about the ecological engineering perspective of using green infrastructure for meeting hydrology and water quality goals, but she is very interested in also thinking about how GI can be ‘multi-functional’ and provide a broader range of services or benefits to the community.
